Our story
Every swing ends on the road home.
Fit2mine exists so mining crews arrive home with something left for the people waiting for them.
Fourteen days on.
Early alarms, twelve-hour shifts, the night switch. Two thirds of the circle belong to the site.
Seven days home.
Recovery, family, the sleep you finally catch up on. One third of the circle, and just as important.
The person holding both.
Fit to mine. And the worker who carries both halves of that life. That's who we work for.
We call it the Swing Ring
A swing is a circle. You finish it, and you start again. Our job is to make sure each one ends as well as it began.
Mission and vision
Why we're here.
Help every mining crew finish the swing with a body and mind that still work.
A mining industry where fatigue and strain are designed out of the work, not left for people to carry.
Founder's statement
What I believe.
The people who keep Australia's mines running deserve to come home with something left.
Fatigue is not a personal failing. It is built into rosters, camps and tasks, so that is where we start.
A tick on a checklist is not the same as being fit for the shift.
And nobody should have to choose between being honest and keeping their job.
That is the standard I hold Fit2mine to.
What we stand for
Three principles.
The work comes first.
We fix rosters, tasks and camps before asking people to try harder.
Trust is earned.
Worker data is never used for decisions about people. We put that in writing.
Evidence over promises.
We report what we measured, including what didn't change.
